As we commemorate International Social Emotional Learning Day, we’re highlighting how SEL cultivates self-awareness and self-esteem in students, helping them recognize their strengths, values, and areas for growth.
SEL fosters a positive sense of identity and confidence along with real-world social skills! 💡

Dear Staff and Families,
I am writing to share an update on the Revenue Purpose Statement that was on the ballot Tuesday, March 5.
Preliminary results from the Mills County Auditor’s Office indicate that the measure fell short of the 50% approval that was needed for the RPS to be renewed until 2051.
As a result, the Glenwood Community School District will not be able to leverage future statewide one-cent sales tax revenue (SAVE) to construct a new home for THRIVE, Kids Place Day Care, the Innovation Center, and the Central Office, using a revenue bond in response to the GRC closure.
We will now look to find an alternative solution to our facilities needs. We will keep you updated as this process moves forward.
In the meantime, thank you for your consideration of the RPS and your continued support of our schools and the students we serve.
Sincerely,
Devin
2nd Grade held their Spring Program - Hats!

On Tuesday, the Revenue Purpose Statement on the ballot for Glenwood CSD fell a little short of being approved by voters.
We know this result is not a reflection of the support of our community for our schools. Rather, the RPS renewal simply was not a good fit at this time.
The Board of Education and administration will look for alternative solutions to address our facility needs, and we will seek the community’s input and engagement as we move forward with this process.
Thank you for your consideration of the measure on the ballot.
