Happy Holidays Ram Nation!

'Tis the season for generosity! This year, a total of $2,600 was donated by all the buildings for the Love Tree initiative. Last week, West Principal Kara Huisman and Northeast Principal Ashlie Salazar personally delivered the collected funds. The generous donation was contributed by the dedicated staff members from each building within the Glenwood Community School District. The Love Tree project is dedicated to providing holiday gifts to families in the local community.

Last week, the 4th-grade math teachers did a construction day in which the kids dressed up as construction workers. They were tasked with measuring objects in our classrooms and the hallway to determine the area using multiplication strategies. Thanks to Mrs. VanNess for writing a grant and being one of the winners of the Glenwood Community School Foundation Grant so we were able to make this day possible!

Northeast Elementary hosted a Winter Carnival for students and families, organized by Mrs. Finn, Mrs. Joyce, Mrs. Phillips, and Ms. Dinsmore.

West Elementary students helped donate 2,073 items to our local Mills County Storehouse.
1st place: 5th grade with 713 cans of chicken or tuna.
2nd place: 3rd grade with 700 boxes of macaroni and cheese.
3rd Place: 4th grade with 660 boxes of hamburger, chicken and tuna helper.
Thank you to our Rambassadors and high school students for helping deliver these items. We are so proud and honored to help serve those in our community!
