Exciting News for Glenwood Middle and High School Students
We’re excited to announce the incorporation of Transfr virtual reality software into our Career & Technical Education and School counseling programs! 🎉 This innovative program is building classroom-to-career pathways, giving students hands-on experience with training simulators like monitoring vital signs (heart rate) and exploring comparisons between human and animal biology—a fascinating opportunity for our secondary students, Transfr, also used for workplace development, has hundreds of trainings and vocations in their library for GCSD students.
Recently high school advanced agriculture students Clara Lundvall and Joli Johnston were able to dive into both career exploration and specific trainings such as: skills with becoming a Solar Technician, where they practiced installing solar panels! The students also can use training simulators such as checking vital signs, where the students compare those between animals and a human.
At GCSD we are always aiming to equip our students with the skills they need for the industries of the future. 🚀

🚍🎉 Huge shoutout to our incredible Glenwood Transportation Department for passing this year's state inspection with flying colors—3 years in a row with ZERO write-ups! 🙌 The state inspectors go through every vehicle from top to bottom, checking everything from light bulbs to safety to any mechanical issues and so forth. This year, they inspected 24 buses and 22 suburban's/vans, and every single one passed with no issues!
Thank you to our hardworking team for always keeping our students safe and our vehicles in top-notch condition! 🚌💪 #TransportationExcellence #GlenwoodStrong #SafetyFirst
