Dear Parent, Student, and Educator,

This week we have a full week for students and teachers, with an early out Wednesday.

Our thoughts are with those who have experienced damage in the recent storms.

Many communities were hit really hard, and we are praying for those affected.  It is moments like these that the call to service is needed and appreciated. Thank our HS football and soccer teams, students, teachers, coaches, and community members who answered the call to help a fellow student from our high school when storms damaged their roof and trees.

Building & Facilities Update: Construction on the wall to enclose the courtyard begins this spring.  We will replace the fencing that is there and have two 4ft doors with crash bars for egress purposes.  This building update makes use of SAVE Funds and will improve safety.

Senior Reminders: Senior Awards Night is this evening, April 28th at 6pm in the Auditorium. Students receiving awards and scholarships have received a personal invitation. Baccalaureate is May 15th at 7pm in the Auditorium; Seniors Last Day is May 16th (all work must be completed prior to this date!); Graduation Practice on the 17th; Commencement is on the 19th at 2pm in our HS Gym. See our Senior Document for more info. Part of the Glenwood High School graduation requirement includes 20 hours of service. Here is the Service Learning Form. Turn the service form into the high school guidance office. Fines also need to be taken care of with the main office prior to senior sign out on the 16th.

This week and next, we will be celebrating “Teacher Appreciation Week”! Thank you to Jim Hughes Real Estate for providing a grill master’s lunch to our buildings. Thursday, May 2nd will be our high school luncheon, followed by next week’s building celebration days. We encourage students and parents to send words of appreciation to our teachers in email.

Students of the Week: The following students were recognized for their demonstration of our RAMS Values: Respect, Achieve and Improve, Make an Effort, and Serve Others!
