ROAR PROGRAM

Dear Parents,

Prior to our Holiday break, we conducted an informational meeting regarding the "Raising our Aspiring Rams" or (ROAR) program. This program is a partnership program between our school district and higher education institutions to provide a very economical way to become a teacher and teach in the Glenwood Community School System. If selected for this program, sophomores, juniors, and seniors would take concurrent coursework while still in high school and then transition to one of four colleges to finish up their degree in teaching while working in our district as a paraprofessional. The current total cost of the program for all four years is just under $30,000, however, by signing up for this program families would realize almost a 50% reduction in that cost for an out-of-pocket cost of less than $15,000 for the entire program at current pricing. We hope you can come for more information next Thursday, February 9th, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the high school media center. Current sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible to apply.
