Parents & Staff-

Below is an email filled with information in regards to the upcoming school year. (I'll warn you there is a lot of information in this email)

As of today Fall-Winter Schedules are 97% complete. Spring-Summer Schedules are 90% complete. The schedule links below will update as any changes are made.

Bus Drivers- The Glenwood Community School District is in need of bus drivers. If you know of anyone who is willing to help us out, please send them to the bus barn to speak with Frank Bachman or reach out by email by emailing Frank at bachmanf@glenwoodschools.org.

Concession Stand Workers- The Glenwood Booster Club and the Glenwood Band Parents Association run all of our concession stands and give all of the money made back to our programs. Finding volunteers to work concessions has become a tough task most recently. Below is the sign up genius for the outside concession stand for all football games this fall. Please share with family (grandparents), friends and anyone else who would be willing to help us out. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Home XC Meet--August 27th at Lake Park

8:45am Youth Kids Run (all kids are welcome to run the 200 meter race to kick off our meet)

9:00am MS Race followed by

JV/Varsity Girls (combined race)

JV/Varsity Boys (combined race)

Activity Tickets

These can be purchased at any school office for $50 and they allow for admittance into any MS-HS sporting event.

Gate Admission for 2022-2023 for all high school athletic events is:

Adults $6

Students $6

The cost of admission for High School Fine Art events will be $5 for adults and $3 for students for the 2022-2023 school year.

Gate Admission for 2022-2023 MS Athletic Events is:

Adults $4

Students $3

The H-10 conference will be moving to digital ticketing for admission for the 2022-2023 school year. We ask that all people attending sporting events 7-12th grade show a printed digital ticket or show their phone at the gate to be scanned. A point of sale device will be available at each gate so those who haven't bought tickets can scan a credit or debit card for their ticket for admission.

HS Parent Listserv

Every Sunday I will send out an email with the latest updates, week in review, as well as schedules for the upcoming weeks. I will send this email out via the HS Parent Listserv that is managed by the activities office. This weekly email document will also be linked in Mr. Albright's Monday email that goes to all high school parents via school messenger. The HSParent Listserv will also be used to send the latest weather postponements & cancellations and other emails that need to be sent prior to the Sunday update. Anyone who wishes to be added to the HSParent listserv, please send me (bissenj@glenwoodschools.org) your email address to be added.

Booster Club Membership

Anyone wanting to join the Glenwood Booster Club can do so by filling out the below membership form. Gold level members and above receive free admission to all home athletic events. Membership forms can be found on their website.

Booster Club Golf Tournament- The Booster Club 18 hole 4 person Scramble Golf Tournament will be Saturday August 20th with a shot gun start at 11:00am. You can sign up and pay at the link's below! There will be raffles, cash prizes, hole prizes and Ram Gear. If you don't like to golf join us for an El Porton dinner from 5:00-7:00pm.

Band Parents

The Glenwood Band Parents Association is conducting their annual sponsorship drive. The Band Parents Association supports both the Middle School and High School instrumental music programs, as well as awarding scholarships for graduating seniors who continue with music in college. Physicals

Just a reminder that all 7th-12th grade student-athletes will need to have a physical on file prior to the first day of practice. Football high school practices started August 1st and all other high school sports start August 8th. Middle School practices will start when school starts, however kids involved in XC can start with our high school kids August 8th as our first home XC meet with the MS is August 27th. Glenwood athletics has one again partnered with Dr. Mike Kenkel & Kenkel Family Chiropractic for physicals. Kenkel Family Chiropractic will donate $10 of the $25 cost back to Glenwood athletics. Live Streaming in 2022-2023

The Glenwood Activities Department continues to seek ways to provide more opportunities for Ram Fans across the country to watch our events. We have purchased a Hudl Focus camera (hoping it arrives any day) for the middle school and high school auxiliary gym to go with the ones placed at the activities complex and our high school main gym. All events at those locations will be able to be live streamed. All our live streams can be watched on our YouTube Channel by searching GCSD Stream or by clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/c/gcsdstream

Staying up to date with the Rams

The easiest way to stay up to date with activities is to visit the Hawkeye 10 Website at http://www.hawkeyeten.org/g5-bin/client.cgi?G5button=7. Once here you can click on Glenwood and see the daily schedule as well as all sports schedules for the year. You may also check conference standings, scores & results, find past H-10 champs, all-conference selections and much more under the different sports headings on the right side of the webpage.

Our activities calendar is also easily accessible through an app.

Varsity Bound App (QuickStats)

Another easy way to stay up to date on athletics, score reporting, game previews with stats is to download the Varsity Bound Application (only available for Apple users at this time, Android availability will be this summer). All this information on this app is comprised of the information that gets reported to quick stats.
