West Elementary will be open to pick children's belonging tonight from 6-7pm in addition to tomorrow morning 7-8am


🚍🎉 Huge shoutout to our incredible Glenwood Transportation Department for passing this year's state inspection with flying colors—3 years in a row with ZERO write-ups! 🙌 The state inspectors go through every vehicle from top to bottom, checking everything from light bulbs to safety to any mechanical issues and so forth. This year, they inspected 24 buses and 22 suburban's/vans, and every single one passed with no issues!

Congratulations to the Student Services Department on being awarded a Iowa Department of Education Therapeutic Classroom Grant!


Congratulations to Glenwood Teammates Chapter on being recognized as National Chapter of the Year at the 2024 National Teammates Annual Conference! Members of the Glenwood Teammates Board, current mentors, and district coordinator Sandra Dollen were honored as the top Teammates Chapter in the U.S. for growth and overall achievement for Glenwood youth by CEO DeMoines Adams. The award was given out by CEO co-founder Tom Osborne and retired NFL Hall of Fame player and a member of the very first group of 22 mentors in the U.S., Will Shields.
Glenwood Teammates chapter is the largest chapter of school-based mentoring in the state of Iowa. The district boasts over 100 mentor/mentee matches in grades 3-12 and is going into its 6th year in Glenwood.

As you know, the bond initiative for our district’s future is a crucial step towards enhancing our facilities and ensuring a better environment for our students and residents alike. In order to proceed with this initiative, we need your support. The Board of Directors set a goal of 600 signatures. The Board may pass the resolution with fewer signatures; however, they feel it is important that there is strong support for moving forward with the project. We kindly request all patrons who have pledged their support to the bond to sign the petition and submit the completed paperwork to the Central Office by noon on Friday, July 12th. Please only sign one petition. Your signature will only count once. A signature petition is available on our website, which you can download and seek signatures for or at any of the district buildings. The current signature sheets that have been circulating are still fine to sign. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Central Office at 712-527-9034.
