Congratulations to Glenwood Teammates Chapter on being recognized as National Chapter of the Year at the 2024 National Teammates Annual Conference! Members of the Glenwood Teammates Board, current mentors, and district coordinator Sandra Dollen were honored as the top Teammates Chapter in the U.S. for growth and overall achievement for Glenwood youth by CEO DeMoines Adams. The award was given out by CEO co-founder Tom Osborne and retired NFL Hall of Fame player and a member of the very first group of 22 mentors in the U.S., Will Shields.
Glenwood Teammates chapter is the largest chapter of school-based mentoring in the state of Iowa. The district boasts over 100 mentor/mentee matches in grades 3-12 and is going into its 6th year in Glenwood.

We kindly request all patrons who have pledged their support to the bond to sign the petition and submit the completed paperwork to the Central Office by noon on Friday, July 12th. Please only sign one petition. Your signature will only count once. Governor Reynolds and the Iowa Department of Education have announced over $3.6 million in competitive grants awarded to four Iowa Community Colleges through the state's career academy incentive fund that will directly impact Glenwood Community School District in the near future. 🎓💼
The Glenwood Community School District Innovation Center, which will be housed in the district’s new administrative/THRIVE building north of Glenwood High School, and through Iowa Western Community College is set to receive a $1 million grant to launch a cutting-edge innovative career center, providing five southwest Iowa school districts with access to career academies in cybersecurity, mass digital communications, industrial robotics, and precision agriculture. Construction is expected to begin in 2024 and programming starting in the 2025-26 school year.

We're thrilled to announce that Northeast Elementary has received the prestigious national model school status from Solution Tree! 🌟 Just over a month after being recognized as part of a national model PLC district award, Northeast Elementary has now added another prestigious milestone.
Northeast Elementary is one of only 16 elementary schools in Iowa to ever earn this incredible honor. But that’s not all – they are believed to be the ONLY PK-2 school in the state to receive this recognition! 🏅
To garner such an award, the school must have sustained academic growth in all grade levels for three consecutive years while demonstrating the principles of designing and implementing priority learning outcomes, common assessments, intervention, and enrichment for all students. 📈📚
