Wednesday was Level-Up day at Northeast. Students had a blast visiting the next grade level for a special sneak peek at what’s ahead next year. Meanwhile, our 2nd-grade “big dogs” made a full-circle trip back to where it all began with a sweet visit to their kindergarten teachers. What a fun and meaningful day celebrating growth, memories, and exciting new adventures ahead!

Starting the day with smiles, laughter, and a little extra fun! Our staff brought the energy to morning drop-off today, dressed as a dinosaur and a dog while welcoming students to Northeast.
Our kindergarten students are connecting literacy and computer science in the library!
Students used Bee Bots to code story elements like characters, setting, problem, and solution while practicing sequencing, problem-solving, and teamwork. Learning through play at its best!

We’re inviting our PK–5 students at Northeast & West Elementary to help us celebrate the amazing staff who make our schools so special!
Each day has a fun dress-up theme and simple ways for students to show appreciation.
Participation is optional, and all staff members are celebrated, including teachers, paras, office staff, custodians, transportation, and more!

Our Kindergarten Open House was rescheduled to Tuesday, April 28th, from 5:30–7:30 PM at Northeast Elementary.

Glenwood HS Hope Squad, NHS, and Student Council are sponsoring a Hope Walk on April 19, from 5-7pm at the Activities Complex. This is a free event open to the community.

Thanks to all of you, we are literally overflowing with food donations, and it has been amazing to watch our students and families rally together to help others. The kindness and excitement from our kids has been incredible!

A big thank you to the Iowa Western Men’s Soccer Team for visiting Northeast Elementary today! Our students loved having these amazing athletes come in and read with classes, share stories, and show that great leaders are readers too.
