We will continue in person learning for the 2021-2022 school year. Parents of students with existing health plans on file with the district will be contacted prior to school starting with considerations for the school year. Should a parent feel their child would qualify for a health plan, they need to contact their child’s school nurse to complete an assessment for a potential health plan. Parents of students with both (health plans and without health plans) need to communicate with their child’s building administrator after Monday, August 9th, 2021 for an assessment on options for their students without health plans
Transportation
The district will follow the state law regarding masking. However, the district recommends the use of masks for students who utilize transportation and supports any family’s decision to transport their child. The transfer point will be reinstated at the Middle School front parking lot. The transportation department will be developing routes and times for all students eligible for transportation and will be assigning seats to those students riding. We encourage those riding a bus to provide their own, however, should someone forget it, we will be able to provide a limited supply.
Breakfast/Lunch
We will be offering FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL students again this year, however, parents that would normally qualify for free or reduced breakfast or lunches, are strongly encouraged to still apply as in the past. The Free and Reduced price Iowa Eligibility Application is needed by our schools for other programs such as Title 1, P-EBT and discounted school fees such as Summer School, Drivers Education, AP & PSAT testing. An Iowa Eligibility Application (Free and Reduced) form must be filled out (renewed) each school year. You can fill out an application online at www.EZmealapp.com or pick up a printed copy at any building office.
