Last week 7th and 8th grade creative writing students got to enjoy the sunshine! The class went outside and wrote stories on a piece of paper for 7 minutes. At the end of time they let their work fly… Literally! Students made paper airplanes out of their work, threw them, and continued writing another students story. This activity combined their writing AND reading skills as they needed to think about how to continue the other student’s writing.

Due to a very generous donation of autism awareness bracelets by Middle School parents, our 6th grade students and staff were able to come together to spread awareness, acceptance and understanding in showing support for neurodiversity and Autism Awareness Month in April.
