Dear Families,

Spring is always a busy time for everyone.  During the month of March, the first graders and Mrs. Pitizen hosted a wonderful music program with amazing singing and dancing.  Our preschoolers had an all pajama day to celebrate over 50% of parents completing the preschool survey.

The PTA and Mr. Stivers are hosting a run-a-thon to raise money for the PTA and to promote physical activity and fitness. This was a very successful fundraiser, and huge thank you for supporting these efforts.

The spring book fair will be held April 24-28.  Family shopping nights will be Monday April 24  from 3-7:30 pm and Friday April 28th from 3:00-6:00 pm  This will be a BOGO book fair so students can select a second book if they purchase one book.

May 16th will be Kindergarten field day, May 18th is first grade field day, and May 19th is second grade field day. Each grade level has also planned a field trip, you will receive specific information regarding your child’s field trip from their classroom teacher.

A few things to remember:

  • Northeast opens at 7:45am, there is no supervision prior to that time.

  • Breakfast is served daily starting at 7:45, students need to go straight to breakfast when they arrive to ensure they have time to eat before instruction begins.

  • Kindergarten round-up will be on May 4 & 5. During round-up, the current kindergarten students will not have school.

  • If you have a child that will be 5 by 9/15/23 and would like to be added to the round-up list, call the office at 712-527-4875.

  • There will be lots of activities during the months of April and May.  Please check emails or Seesaw messages from your child’s teacher.
