From the Principal's Desk, May

Monday, May 2, 2022

Thank you all so much for making an effort to get your children to us each day of ISASP testing!  We had the fewest number of absences during this time than any recent years!!!! We appreciate all your efforts! We are hopeful to have results before the end of the year.

Our PTA Read-a-thon is over on Friday.  We had LOTS of students READING a ton!  Thank you for encouraging your student and helping to get pledges.  Please remember to send everything back on the 6th.

Transition tours for our 5th graders will occur as normal this year.  Each class will take a turn going over and visiting with the MS counselor, eating lunch and touring.  We know this is a BIG DEAL in the life of a 5th grader!

We have lots of events coming up to help us keep busy and motivated as the year winds down.  I have included the Olympic Day schedule and we will allow visitors as they occur outside.  Should there be rain, we will do a mini-Olympic Day but won’t have visitors in the building.

Important Dates:

  • 4, 11, 18,   Early Outs
  • 16 - 3rd grade Olympic Day (am)
  • 17 - 5th grade Science Camp18 - 4th grade Olympic Day (am)
  • 19 - 5th grade Science Camp (rain date)
  • 23 - 5th grade Olympic Day

A Few Things to Know:

We will be announcing the winners of the PTA Read-a-thon sometime during the week of May 16th, if not before!!!  Thank you all for showing your support of this organization!  Remember they are always looking for new members.:) They are working hard to help the school help your students!!!!!!!

Registration for the 2022-2023 School year will be coming very soon.  This process will be completed through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.  You should have received a hard copy letter in the mail for each student describing how to create a Parent Portal account.  It would be very helpful to have that account created prior to Registration instructions being released.  If you have questions about or issues with that account creation, please contact
