November Northeast Newsletter

Wednesday, November 3, 2021

Northeast Friends and Family,

Thank you everyone for helping to make our Pajama day and fall parties a huge success. Students loved all the games, activities and treat bags that were given out. We want to say thank you as well to the Roker family and Bass Pro Shop for providing us with crafts to share with our students! Each month moving forward we will be focusing on one of our Northeast PBIS expectations by being: kind, respectful, responsible and safe. Last month we focused on being Kind and celebrated students who were seen being kind through our Way to Go’s and also by choosing Ram Pride students at our assembly on the 28th. This month we will be focusing on being Responsible. We encourage you to talk with your students about ways to be responsible at home and out in the community! We look forward to a busy month in November and showing gratitude as well as we head towards Thanksgiving.

Important dates:

Early out Wednesdays (dismissal begins at 1:00): November 3, 10,17

No School Thanksgiving Break: Nov 24th - Nov 26th

November events and things to remember:

WATCH Dog Dads is returning this year! Be watching for more information soon!

Winter Clothing: Please remember that we do go outside for recess as long as the “feel like” temperature is above 10. This means we ask that students please wear a heavy jacket, gloves and hats as well as appropriate pants and shoes.

Eating Lunch with your student: We recognize that eating lunch with your student is a special time and we want to ensure that we can do this safely. We encourage you to come for your students' Birthday or Half Birthday.

Illness: If your child is feeling ill, or has symptoms of Covid 19 we ask that you please keep your child home. Remember to call the office, or fill out the online absentee form before 8:30am if your child is sick, or being quarantined.

Water bottles: Water fountains will still be closed this year, however we do have water bottle fillers so please remember to send a water bottle with your student so they have access to water throughout the day. The water fountains are no longer available so it is important to send a water bottle with your child.

Change in Transportation: Please remember if you need to change your child’s after school plans please call the office prior to 2pm. If the change is in regards to bussing you also need to call the transportation office as well at: 712-527-4116.

Food from home: Please remember that we are a peanut safe school. This means that any food brought into the school for parties or snacks in the classroom must be peanut free.
