The Glenwood Boys 7th Grade Basketball team played at Lewis Central last night, with the A team winning 49-30 and the B team playing a tough game, but falling to L.C. 22-10.  Both teams left all of their energy out there on the court.   The A team was led in scoring by Mason Camden and an all around great team defensive effort.  The B team was led in scoring by Brody Sneed with great defensive contributions by Dylan Pitzen and Jerry Jerrett.

7th grade team will be practicing at West the rest of this week, so they will need to change out in the middle school locker room, bring all of their stuff with, and then take the assigned bus over to West for practice.

It was a busy week for the 8th grade boys basketball team, starting out on Monday with an exciting, overtime victory on the road against the Atlantic Trojans.  Final score of that game was 41-36.  Leading scorers were Jack Johnson, with 18 points, and Trace Johnson, with 10.  Tuesday night, Treynor came to town, and in a hard-fought contest, the Rams came up short, losing to the Cardinals by a score of 32-23.   Leading scorers were Collin Steele, who had 10, and Jack Johnson, who had 7.  The last game of the week was another home contest against Clarinda on Thursday night.  Clarinda’s hustle, both offensively and defensively, was too much for Glenwood.  Final score of the game was 34-25.  Leading scorers were Jack Johnson with 9, and Collin Steele with 7.  Next week, The 8th Grade Rams will get a full dose of Council Bluffs, taking on Lewis Central on Tuesday at home, and traveling to Kirn Middle School Thursday.

This week was a busy opening week for the Ram 8th grade B team as they played 3 games, winning one and dropping 2. Monday the Rams dropped a hard fought 23-20 game to Atlantic. Kevin C and Xander M each scored 7 while Dayton M hit for 4 and Jaden H scored 2. Tuesday the team allowed too many offensive rebounds to the Treynor Cardinals in a 43-31 loss. Dayton M led the team with 11 pts while Xander M added 7. Kevin C chipped in 4 and Caleb S added 3. Shain P, Jaden H, and Cooper P each scored 2. Last night the Rams got the win 32-25 over the Clarinda Cardinals with their best effort as a team. Xander M hit for 8 with Jaden S scoring 7. Cooper P added 5 with Shane P and Brendon A hitting  for 3 each. Kevin C, Jaden H, and Miguel R each added 2. Keep working to improve…”
