MS Girls Track wrapped a successful season last night in Atlantic.  In some tough conditions, the ladies ran a great meet and had lots of PRs for the season.

The 7th grade ended their season as the 2022 Hawkeye Ten Champions, beating 2nd place Lewis Central 130 to 122.  Conference Champions for the Rams were Megan H. in the 400; Katelyn Harms in the 1500; Emersyn H. in discus; the 4x800 relay team of Katelyn H, Grace B, Gabby L., and Megan H; and the 4x400 relay team of Katelyn H., Kati B., Aubrey R., and Megan H.

The 8th grade ended their season as the 2022 Hawkeye Ten Runner Ups, improving on a 4th place performance last year.  Conference Champions for the Rams were the 4x800 team of Averi N., Micah S., Audrina J., and Halee H.

We will wrap our season up with a celebration and equipment checkin on Thursday.  It will last until about 4:15.

BOYS TRACK -

We will meet after school in the commons area both Today (Tuesday) and Thursday.  We will go through awards and collect gear from those members ready for turn in on Tuesday.

On Thursday we will go through summer athletic enhancement opportunities, do a post season survey, and finalize gear turn in.  Everybody is expected to attend both days.

Congratulations to the Boy's track team on their strong finish to end the season.  The 7th grade team finished in 5th place and the 8th grade team completed their undefeated season with a Hawkeye 10 championship.  20 Members of the 8th grade team scored points and several personal bests were recorded on a tough night of running in the heat.
