10th Grade Orientation:
Orientation will take place on Monday, February 7, during Connections on Monday. Registration materials will be distributed and explained to all 9th grade students at this time.

Yearbook Senior Pictures:
Senior pictures for the yearbook are due by March 31st. You may use whatever picture you like as long as it is school appropriate. If we do not receive your picture by March 31st you may not be featured in the yearbook.
ACT PRep Course:
January 23, 2022
Our sophomore class will be taking the PreACT this week on Monday, January 24, and Tuesday, January 25. The results of this test give each student valuable information on both their abilities and possible career area interests. The only thing students need to bring for the test is 2 or 3 number two pencils (non-mechanical) with good erasers. The test will be administered during period 7 on Monday, January 24, and during periods 1-3 on Tuesday, January 25.

2nd Semester Begins:
The 2nd semester will begin on January 18th. Students will check the library windows for their 1st hour class. Printed schedules will be handed out to each student in this class. All schedule changes will be handled in the counseling center, all changes must be made by February 1st. Seniors enrolled in IWCC courses need to make sure to check with Mrs. Rodenburg for any changes they may need. Remember that the IWCC calendar is different from the Glenwood school calendar.

CT Prep Course:
On February 5th we will be hosting an ACT prep course for any student in grade 10, 11 and 12. We will have staff available to cover Language Arts, Math and Science areas. Students will take part in testing tips as well as sample tests and scoring. The course will be from 9:00 AM to Noon. The link below is to sign a student up for the course. Please take time to talk to your student about this free opportunity and get signed up. We will close registration on January 29th.
January 2, 2022
Friday, January 7, our basketball teams will be playing for a greater cause - to help fight cancer and raise cancer awareness. We will hold our Pink Out basketball games and ceremony on this night. The Pink Out ceremony will take place between the girls and boys varsity games, ending with free will donation buckets for our Mills County Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. Wear pink and support our fight against cancer!

Looking ahead to after the holiday break, the high school will be offering an opportunity for students to participate in the ASVAB test. We will be utilizing the online version of the test. For more information please contact Mrs. Rodenburg in the counseling office.

RED ALERT! The Red Cross is facing an emergency blood and platelet shortage and needs our help to ensure hospital and patient blood needs are met as blood continues to be sent to hospitals faster than it is being donated and the blood supply is the lowest it has been since this time in 2015.
1) Sign up to give blood at the GHS blood drive on Monday, Dec 6th from 6:30-1 at rcblood.org/donate. Search for our drive using “rams” in the search bar.
