Welcome To Sixth Grade

 Sixth graders begin their year preparing for a program.  Sometimes the program is about drug prevention.  The program is usually done the last Thursday of October.  They expand their knowledge of the elements of music, and begin working in the bass clef while learning about jazz and other forms of American music.  They also learn about opera by attending workshops and a performance.  On alternating years they learn about Broadway Musicals when members of the Omaha Theatre Company perform here.
