8th SEWING PROJECT---PILLOW

 

PROJECT: Patchwork Pillow (9 patch) sizes will vary from 16 inches to 33 inches square.

SMALL SHOEBOX in which to store your sewing supplies. Most plastics sewing boxes are too big to fit on the shelves.

Fabric Description

 

ANY SIZE BETWEEN 6" AND 11" SQUARES

Fabric should be tightly woven.   Cotton/polyester fabric  or 100% cotton fabric will be the easiest to work with.

AVOID: knits, heavy denims, loosely woven fabrics, anything that stretches or anything that is very heavy or stiff.

 

Fabric & Fiberfill Amounts

- Small pillow

6 " square = 16 ½" pillow  or 7" square = 19 ½" pillow

1lb. Fiberfill stuffing

Color 1:  5/8 yd. (44-45" fabric)
= back and 4 or 5 squares

Color 2:  1/4 yd. (44-45" fabric)
= 4 to 5 squares.

- Large Floor Pillow

10" squares = 30" pillow
