ELIGIBILITY FOR ACTIVITIES

All middle school students who are participating in any extra-curricular activity should maintain acceptable academic progress, C- average or better.  Such activities may include, but are not limited to, athletic events, Student Council, Builders’ Club, Readers’ Theater, band and choir performances, and the talent show.  Academic progress will be checked a minimum of every four and one-half weeks. There may be cases when a student who is not working up to his or her ability may be declared ineligible until satisfactory improvement has been made.  The principal, teachers, and coach or sponsor will monitor the academic status of all students participating in an activity.  

Every student will develop the skills to be an independent, cooperative, respectful citizen with a positive attitude.
