The school is a community, and in order for
us to live and work together successfully, we need to create an environment
where everyone feels safe and respected. We believe that the middle school
years are a unique time in our students' lives. Our school is committed to
providing opportunities for creative expression, critical thinking and active
personal involvement to promote intellectual, social, physical, and emotional
growth. The school has the responsibility for fostering each student's
self-confidence through positive interactions with adults. We believe this goal
can be accomplished by offering a wide variety of learning experiences designed
to meet the needs of all students with differing interests, learning styles and
abilities using developmentally appropriate curriculum. As role models, we
seek to inspire our students to strive for personal excellence as citizens and
as life-long learners. Students should strive to become proficient in the skills and knowledge of their academic subjects and to become the best person he or she can be. We believe that all our students must learn how to become responsible for their own behaviors and learning. Students' responsibilities include completing class work, homework, active participation and showing respect for his or her own learning as well as the learning of others.
