Project 21 Council Bluffs Scholarship Ameristar Casino Hotel, Harrah’s Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel and Horseshoe Casino are all part of this scholarship worth $10,000. It is a multifaceted educational awareness campaign, with the goal of educating the public, and specifically those under 21, that underage gambling is illegal. This program is designed to assist young people in educating each other about the consequences of underage gambling through posters, written essays or individual projects.

Peace with Justice Scholarship Essay Contest The essay contest is open to students who are high school juniors and seniors who live in Iowa or attend an Iowa high school. They need not be members of a United Methodist Church nor any other religious body. There will be three winners, each one will receive a $500 scholarship. To enter the essay contest this year, write an essay of approximately 500-1500 words. This year’s topic is: “How we Can Change the U.S. Reputation in the World From Being the World’s Bully to Being the World’s Friend” It is preferred that essays be sent by email to sttimsrevdick@cfu.net

Mills-Montgomery County Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship This scholarship is worth $250 and is open to all graduating seniors. Applicants will be evaluated for scholastic achievement, community involvement, and interest in the beef industry.
