On Monday October 6, the GHS Student Council sponsored a Denim Day to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. Students and teachers throughout the school system were invited to wear denim and pink shirts to help support the cause. The Student Council also sold ribbons to the staff and students to help raise the funds.
The team set a goal of 600 dollars and with the help of the other buildings in the school district they were able to surpass the goal with a total of 814 dollars. We would like to thank all of the teachers and staff members in the other buildings that helped support us.
Glenwood Community High School is sponsoring it’s annual fall blood drive on Wednesday, October 29th from 8 AM to 2 PM. The greater community is invited and encouraged to donate. Walk-ins are welcome; however, time will be saved from 9 AM to 10 AM and from 12 PM to 1 PM for call-ins. Call the high school and leave your name and preferred time. Times are limited; call soon.
Homecoming 2009
HOMECOMING 2009 has been set. Next years big event will take place on September 18, 2009 vs. Clarke-Osceola. There will be a freshman game before the varsity game which is scheduled to start at 7:30pm. Mark your calendars now for this great community event.
