A Mills County

Community/School Based

Mentoring Program

Kids Win

Mentors Gain

Communities Benefit

Mentoring with HEART is a community/school based program focused on helping our community youth.  We see first hand the needs of children growing up without enough adult interaction.  These youth need someone who can visit them, help set goals, and reinforce basic skills, attitudes, and other lessons of life.

Mentoring with HEART matches adult volunteers, who are screened and trained, with Mills County youth ages 6-14, who have been identified as potentially being able to benefit from some extra attention.  Mentors serve as positive role models, meeting with their student at least one hour a week, shaping a variety of activities.
